We’ve spent years researching what works best for our girls in their nesting boxes and we’ve gathered their favorites to share with you all! All of these ingredients are safe to use for chickens. They provide a variety of benefits and are safe for them to eat.

We are not trained veterinarians so PLEASE consult your vet for any questions regarding using these herbs or if you are concerned about your girls ingesting them.

Ingredients used are:

-Ginger Root: For stimulating laying, anti-fungal, relieving diarrhea while stimulating circulatory and respiratory systems

-Lavender: For relieving stress, increasing blood circulation, and as an insect repellent

-Yarrow Flower: Promotes calming and relaxation, is anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic

-Rose Petals: Boosts immunity, cleanses blood toxins, is antibacterial, and antiseptic

-Marigold Petals: For stimulating laying, insect repellent, egg yolks vibrancy if ingested, and is an antioxidant

-Fennel: For stimulating laying, insect repellent, and boosting reproductive health

-Peppermint: For insect AND mice repellent, has a calming effect, and helps lower body temperature helping to keep them cool in the summer

-Thyme: For insect repellent, aids in respiratory health, is antibiotic and antibacterial

-Chamomile: For fighting lice, mites and fleas, is an antiseptic, natural antibiotic, and calming chickens (and people)
